Cool theme. 👌 Yes I heard from her then, just thought you might have heard from her since. Thanks, yea I should have used a brighter color for the numerals, they don't stand out enough.

Maintenance has been completed over yonder though it is a tad slow! Yep, that whole game was weird but exciting! My crystal ball says it has no clue who will win tonight's game and we shall all see then when it ends!??!

Caught a few of the playoff games and, of course, there was no real surprise ~~~ except for, maybe, the play of C.J. Stroud and the HOUSTON TEXANS. The kid's got poise and leadership skills, for a young QB. Come Saturday, we'll see how well they do against the CHIEFS. You're right about GREEN BAY ... their players were dropping like flies, yesterday. I'm not sure what Russell WILSON will do, as far as his career goes ... perhaps, he might decide to retire. He's not in want for $$$.

Speaking of $$$ and job prospects. Of course, his business is subject to seasonal ups and downs but I still have that job offer with the friend of mine who owns the painting business. When it does resume (end of this month or so), it's good money and we get along well. Otherwise, I'm coming off another cycle of being sick and I'm not saying it for the sake of pity ... just a warning to me and others that some of these things come with the times (and territory) we are all subject to.

I hope this short note finds you doing well. Awfully sad and that's an understatement ... what has befallen the southern part of your state and as it relates to the wildfires. Of course, this scorched earth has left some dead and many homeless, but it makes me think that the barren land is now subject to landslide risks. Do CONTINUE to stay SAFE out there and ENJOY a good week ahead. They keep hyping this H5N1 bird flu and its influence on egg prices ... my hope is that is as far as it may go.

Btw, what's happening with Angie do you know? Will she be returning to one of these sites? She told me that she would at some point.

Oh I wasn't assuming anything. I was just asking if CS1 was where you were gonna be now, that was all. I got that and replied.

Thanks! I know you're not exactly a fan of skulls, but I'm glad if it had the desired effect. Ya know me and skulls lol, it's a "thing" with me. If I ever do settle down with a girl, she's gonna have to be cool with my fascination for skulls. Getting the Roman numerals to light up in sync with the clock hand was very tricky, that took me a good while to get right. But I'm pleased with how it turned out.

No worries, I remember this theme, it's a cool one. I regret never getting to see the Pumpkins live. Check in when you can.

But how much offen, does it have a second layer in my mind: it also stands for
STARBUCK in Moby Dick.
and his approach to revenge.

Isn't that very current?

"Vengeance on a dumb brute!" cried Starbuck, "that simply smote thee from blindest instinct! Madness! To be enraged with a dumb thing, Captain Ahab, seems blasphemous."

So...I still cannot find that original documentary about U.S soldiers being interviewed about discovering the sport of hurling while passing through Shannon airport, which kinda annoys me because I really wanted to show you that. But here's the next best thing, a short article about it from the Irish Independent newspaper. Also, "GAA" stands for Gaelic Athletics Association.

Irish Independent: What did US soldiers bring home from Iraq? Hurling, of course.
https://www.independent.ie/news/what-did-us-soldiers-bring-home-from-iraq-hurling-of-course/26610867.html

In case you were wondering...."What the hell is hurling?". Here ya go.

That said, we do get a lot of American troops passing through Ireland on their way to Iraq and Afghanistan, so we meet a lot of Americans, except Native Americans. I've only ever met one in the flesh and that was in Ireland funnily enough. He stayed in my house a few days, he was Cherokee, nice chap. I remember seeing a documentary on Youtube about U.S soldiers passing through Shannon airport in Ireland and watching our sport of Hurling on a TV at the airport bar, falling in love with it and then starting up Hurling clubs in the U.S when they got home. But now I cannot find that documentary anywhere, so here's a short vid of your boys coming through Shannon.
