So...I still cannot find that original documentary about U.S soldiers being interviewed about discovering the sport of hurling while passing through Shannon airport, which kinda annoys me because I really wanted to show you that. But here's the next best thing, a short article about it from the Irish Independent newspaper. Also, "GAA" stands for Gaelic Athletics Association.

That said, we do get a lot of American troops passing through Ireland on their way to Iraq and Afghanistan, so we meet a lot of Americans, except Native Americans. I've only ever met one in the flesh and that was in Ireland funnily enough. He stayed in my house a few days, he was Cherokee, nice chap. I remember seeing a documentary on Youtube about U.S soldiers passing through Shannon airport in Ireland and watching our sport of Hurling on a TV at the airport bar, falling in love with it and then starting up Hurling clubs in the U.S when they got home. But now I cannot find that documentary anywhere, so here's a short vid of your boys coming through Shannon.

I forgot to mention something. I know it's a habit that I REALLY need to quit soon, but...it's amazing how sociable smoking can be. Everyone says it's an antisocial habit, which to some extent is true, however you'd be amazed by the number of different people you get talking to in outdoor smoking areas. When smokers congregate in those areas to smoke, they really do come from all over the place. Recently, I was standing in a smoking area outside a hotel where I went for a meal. There were two weddings being held there, one on the night I was there and another due to be held the following night. Well anyway, I got talking to an American woman who was attending the wedding being held the night I was there. She told me she was from Texas but now living in New Jersey and she advised me to visit Vegas some time, after she had asked me if I had ever been to the U.S and to Vegas and I had answered yes to the first question and no to the second question. Then...another woman came out and sat on the opposite side to me, so I got talking to her too and as it turns out, she was also American. She told me that she was originally from Chicago but now living in Georgia and that she had served in the military (she didn't say which branch) and that she had done a tour in Kuwait. Apparently she was at the hotel for the wedding being held the following night.

So the temp here is 2 degrees, which is 35 degrees on your side. Isn't the difference in measurements for length, weight and temperature a pain in the ass? I dunno why you guys still use the British imperial system. You should switch over to the metric system. It would screw things up for a short while, as it did for Europeans, but in the end it proves to be so much easier to use. Even the Brits themselves use it now, very begrudgingly.

I notice a lot of censorship on U.S tv shows when they are broadcast over here, but that's definitely not on our end. Your shows come pre-censored. There's a fair amount of swearing on one of my favourite U.S shows, The Daily Show, and it irks me to no end that it keeps getting bleeped. I mean come on, it's broadcast late at night when only adults will be watching, so what's the fuss? I think it depends on the network. I've noticed that John Oliver and Bill Maher don't get bleeped. They're not on Comedy Central though, they're on HBO. Btw, Bill Maher is a legend, he should be your fu...BLEEP...ing president. Him...or Bernie Sanders maybe. Europeans love Bernie, cuz we're a bunch of pinko socialist fags over here I guess.

Speaking of bgs, thanks! I decided to change mine again because I felt the last one was a bit cluttered and it was making the comments hard to read. I hope it's easier to read them now. I've gone back to flames again. I know that flames might seem a bit redundant now, since I have used them so many times in my bgs and avatars, but what can I say...I hear Beelzebub calling lol Seriously though, I think I may have had a lot of people on CS1 convinced that I was a Satanist lol, which I suppose is understandable, considering the themes I kept coming up with. I'm really not though, I'm behind the philosophy of J.C all the way, even if I find it hard to live up to.

Well not all disabilities are visible on the surface. Some people can't work for certain periods of time...or at all, even if they can walk and talk. People who have their mental health will always find that hard to understand. As the saying goes, "your health is your wealth".
