a really simple dessert is to place a big tsp of honey on a baking sheet (use parchment paper) and lay a thinly sliced 1/4 pear on top of the honey. Then cover it with a square of puff pastry and lightly press the edges down, then brush with egg. Bake for 20 minutes on 400 degrees. When theyre nice and brown pull them out and flip them over and youll have an open-face pear tart. I like them with vanilla ice cream. :p (apples work too) I buy those sheets of puff pastry to keep it simple and cut 9 squares out of it. I might make those the night before thanksgiving.

yeah i got it covered already but thank you, I always like new ideas for recipes. I had desserts decided a month ago but i might try one on the vid you shared for Christmas. Green beans are an awesome side. I like fall season veggies like squash and corn, but green beans are almost necessary with mashed potatoes and turkey lol. I season and then sprinkle pomegranate seeds and slivered almonds. You can do that with any side just to pretty them up and add textures. I love the little pops of sweet the pom seeds bring.
