Yes - perhaps, making a fine life for themselves - Phil and Rita stood within the general confines of Punxsutawney. It's good to know that the residents of the aforementioned borough continue to fawn for the groundhog's reaction to the declination of the sun, whilst the rest of us yearn for an early return to SPRING. But - right about now - ASPEN and VAIL sound rather nice too.

Glad to hear that quiet introspection and some pensive thought have brought you to the point that you might have had an EPIPHANY of sorts and the next twenty years or so might have become much clearer. When you do decide to do what all Good Cowboys do and ride into the sunset, do take the time to drop me a postcard or two. Good morning to and for you, Mon Ami ~~~ CHEERS to a bright new week forward and you getting to ENJOY some YOU time. The JET happens to be SOUTH OF THE BORDER. It seems that my flight crew caught a rerun showing of TEQUILA SUNRISE and decided to go on a BEER RUN. Go figure, but let's hope that Michelle Pfieffer inspired them enough to look like a FOREVER YOUNG Mel Gibson and sweep the kind lady off her feet. HA! ;)

Your lament of concern has been mentioned by many; that, perhaps, Harry's apparent lifestyle was a precursor to Meghan finding herself a worthy suitor and/or husband. The only thing that's sad is that a chasm has come between Diana's two boys and I know that she'd want better for the two. They say TIME HEALS ALL WOUNDS ~~~ one hopes, regardless of them being ROYALS, that such a mantra applies to the TWO PRINCES; one with a working title and in the good graces of a KING father and the other one a bit lost in the mad shuffle we call life.

Speaking of carving ICE or being carved by ICE ~~~ some of the those doing the ice sculptures do have some mad skills. Have a NICE SUNDAY up there and beware of the influence of TARIFF imposition from the SOUTH of you. HA! ;)

The INVICTUS games are being held @WHISTLER? I did not know that. ROYALS are bit perplexing, but I guess it's all part of that THIN THE GENE POOL theorem. I must say that Prince Harry is either a guy people like or despise. Myself? I think I'm along the spectrum of liking him and his American bride who pretty much cost him any chance to ascend to THE THRONE. But such is the nature of choosing LOVE over TRADITION.

Although, having that all important H.M.S. attached to your name must be pretty cool ~~~ Hey, that boat (ship) is mine! HA, but the aforementioned INVICTUS games does afford handicapped servicemen (and women) the opportunity to showcase their athletic talents. Have a good afternoon and night up there. Ah, BILL MURRAY, I don't know how one could describe the quality of his COMIC GENIUS. But his stint on the original SNL cast didn't hurt him nor did the introduction of the golfing prodigy; the future MASTERS CHAMPION, Carl Spackler. Eventually, I think he made peace with the gopher and the four-legged friend became his caddy. HA! Even with a loss to Detroit, you guys are still tied with the KNIGHTS. Back in Boston, we got SMOKED by WINNIPEG who continues to surprise all of us. But they have a stellar player in goal; Connor Hellebuyck. Say that name FIVE TIMES FAST. Speaking of FAST; January 2025 went by us in a blink of an eye and America's GROUNDHOG DAY is on Sunday >>> cue Bill Murray and the quadruped. I see that Auston Matthews and the LEAFS come to town. Boston plays host to the RANGERS and NEW ORLEANS readies itself for next weekend's SUPER BOWL. Perhaps, next year, Mon Ami ~~~ attending next year's offering in SANTA CLARA, CALIFORNIA ... see you @Levi's Stadium.

But a three-game win streak gives the Oilers one game up on the GOLDEN KNIGHTS. That sounds like it should be a drink in VEGAS ~~~ the Golden Knight <<< perhaps, made with some pricey tequila >>> I'll have a few. :)

Nothing says BASEBALL more than CRASHED ICE @Fenway. Ha, I wonder who created this intense sport? According to Wikipedia, RED BULL had a kind hand in its inception. I can tell you that if I were to close my eyes and imagine the sights and sounds of this particular ballpark, I could easily find myself there again. Speaking about the welcoming shores of Southern Florida and all things PALM TREES; I'm told that Spring Training begins somewhere around the 9th of February or thereabouts. Of course, pitchers and catchers arrive to camp first but I'm sure that has something to do with TIMING (not so much literal but figurative). And I also read where the DODGERS and CUBS are supposed to do a few exhibition games in the land of the RISING SUN. Ticket sales should go thru the roof for the Dodgers, considering they have a home boy named SHOHEI OHTANI.

So, AMERICA swore in a new president or, at the very least, Chief Justice John Roberts did and now DONALD can reach for the stars. One hopes the whole power trip thing doesn't go to his head and that he is as forthright as he is thoughtful. I always thought the whole POTUS thing was pretty straight forward, aside from the want of reelection. All one needs to do is be in tune with the advisors you have entrusted with certain sectors of governance, not get too ahead of yourself, and take to criticism kindly. But, YEAH, he's definitely not on the GREEN TEAM but that's good for the commoner who is afforded no opportunity to decry rising living costs. I did talk to the DON and he asked me two things; how you were making out with the Canadian COLD FRONT and how the Gulfstream was a flyin'. HA!

All's GOOD on the EASTERN FRONT and wishing your slice of paradise the very same. It's definitely warm somewhere and someone is enjoying a few chilled CORONAS. Oh, yeah, for some reason, Pres. Trump seems to loathe anything coming out of Mexico and I just don't get that. You'd think you would want to be on friendly terms with a neighbor ... especially, one offering free TEQUILA shots. Yeah, the RUSSIAN FRONT ... how come you never see it highlighted on some travel site or on someone's bucket list? About that man who spent time languishing in a distant prison camp >>> our minds are geared in such a way that we are capable of adapting and overcoming even the harshest of conditions, but - for some reason - some of us have that innate ability of remaining invincible. I see the CANUCKS put an end to the win streak, but I see you guys are now back HOME thru the beginning of the new month. 2MORO, CAPTAIN AHAB gets sworn in and they are doing so indoors (citing poor weather conditions). But I think Señor Trump values his head more than he leads on. Although, that Caribbean beach locale would - at this point - surely beat the state of THE STATES. HA!

Speaking of power ~~~ the remaining NFL teams flex their muscles, this weekend, and to see who gets to find themselves to either the AFC or NFC CHAMPIONSHIP. I myself would still like to have the Gulfstream bring me to some warm Caribbean shoreline and I can watch a different game of fútbol. Ha, long weekend here; due to the Martin Luther King holiday observance and TRUMP getting to swear on a Monday-in-January inspired bible. ;)
